I started Trails For Tails so I could spend my day doing what i love to do...hiking in the local trails with dogs and giving them the exercise and socialization they need and deserve. It has taken me a while to figure out my passion in life, but now I can't imagine doing anything else.
As a life long dog owner, I have always known that I wanted a career working with dogs and starting Trails For Tails in my home town of Port Alberni is allowing me to fulfill that dream.
I am certified in Dogsafe canine first aid, educated in the body language of dogs and am always reading to expand my knowledge in dealing with dogs, so your fur child will always be kept as safe as possible while out on their adventures.
I have hiked my own dog in packs for years now and I know what a difference this regular experience can make.
Being an avid hiker and my love of spending time with dogs, make Trails For Tails a perfect fit for me. I have been taking dogs out on off-leash hikes for the past 6 years in the Alberni area and the dogs have taught me so much, they are all so different but all love to be out exploring all the sights and smells that the bush has to offer.
Born on the beach of the west coast, Levi was rescued by the Port Alberni S.P.C.A. and adopted at the age of 8 weeks by Pauline. , Levi has spent his life hiking and exploring trails with Pauline and numerous other dogs.
Levi's kind, patient and gentle nature make him a perfect ambassador for a dog hiking business. He is always happy to hike with other dogs and extremely tolerant of the high energy of the younger ones looking to prove themselves.
After being an amazing partner in my business, Levi passed suddenly in the fall of 2016. He is remembered every time I am out hiking with other dogs and is missed every day.
